Crave Fusion Bistro & Cocktails proprietors, Isaac and Bridgett are native Texans with over 30+ years of residency in Houston and its surrounding areas. Their culinary journey is driven by a simple yet profound idea – – to craft a space to stand as a tribute to their families and community, by honoring the rich traditions and flavors inspired by African American, Southern American, and Asian diaspora heritages. In 2019, a year before the widespread onset of the global pandemic and subsequent closures, they envisioned the idea of opening a restaurant during a 14-day spiritual fast. Until then, they had cherished their experiences of exploring various BIPOC cultures and cuisines, both domestically and abroad, which exposed them to unique flavors and gastronomic traditions. This passion for blending flavors ignited a desire to share their adventures with fellow “Foodies” and launch their own mom and pop restaurant.
Fast forward to the Grand Opening of Crave Fusion Bistro & Cocktails in October 2023, their vision has now become a reality. As folks walk through their restaurant’s doors, the duo aims to make each patron feel like an invited houseguest – – providing a space to relax, indulge in delectable cuisine, savor signature drinks, and receive exceptional customer service within a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Teaming up with renowned Executive Chef Leon Cedillo, Co-owner of Roots Café DCH, Isaac and Bridgett take pride in creating an environment where people can gather to commemorate special moments. Ultimately, they understand that running a restaurant goes beyond serving food; it involves adding a personal touch to every interaction, fostering meaningful conversations, nurturing cultures, and building a vibrant community. They recognize the extraordinary power of food to unite people together.
